will installing the ford torsion keys and then leveling the front end affect the warranty????

how much would you raise the front end if you were going to put some 285/70/r17 bfg a/t's on it

Don't even tell them about the new keys, theres no way they can tell, unless they took them out.

You'll have to crank them a few times to get the front up enough for 285's, but it shouldn't be a problem.

Make sure you get that must have alignment after the key install.

Good luck.

Hill wants around $150.00 for them, go to any ford dealer and pick youself up a set for $20-$30 samething.

I installed mine myself. peice of cake really.

I ordered mine at Ford Parts Online for about $42 delivered. I used a 6" 2 jaw puller (about 5000 pound capacity I believe) to change them out, piece of cake. I have had my truck to the dealer since and no one even asked about the ride height. Good luck.

I put the keys on my truck when it had about 8000 miles and the next day took it to the dealer to have the front end aligned.  The dealer aligned it under warranty and told me I had major toe in and that was that no questions asked.  The dealers are good for something!!!  I think 285/70/17 are about the same height as 285/75/16.  I didn't have to lift my truck to fit 285/75/16.  I had my 285s on before the front lift and had no problems rubbing.  I lifted the front about 2 inches to level the truck.

A 285/75 should be about an inch taller than a 285/70 due to the taller sidewall. Either way i wouldnt think id even spend the $40 on the keys if youre just goin with 285's, just crank up on the bars some.

Try and contact the alignment shop for installation.  They might charge you "one" price for the install and the alignment.  Since you'll need to align the truck afterwards anyways.  In my home town of Tucson, Arizona, there is a shop that does it.  They even sell the Ford keys, but they call them "pork chops".  Good luck

Yeah they call em pork chops here in SC too. I got my Buckshots installed with the keys, (which i brought with me) mounted and balanced with full warranty for around $450. The owner gave me a $200 trade in for my stock rubbers. Install incl. keys runs about $140 in my area if you buy the keys from the shop and that includes alignment.

Wow, $140 is cheap.  Here in Tucson they sell the "porkchop" kit for $350 (installed and aligned).  But I called and asked them how much if I were to bring in my own "porkchops" to install and align. Its about $150.  I guess thats good cause the same shop charges $85 just for the alignment.

This may be what I have been looking for. Does anyone have a part # for this? What year truck is this off? I need to know what to ask for.

Last, how much additional lift will this give me? I already have 3/4 ton bars in there & have it cranked up. But it's rubbing the plastic on the fenders. I need about 1/2" more lift.
