the people i bought my truck from said they replaced the spark plugs an i think they put in the wrong ones can the wrong plugs throw off timing or anything like that

It will make it run like crap.....Pull one of the plugs and see what brand/number is..If the plug is to hot for your truck, it will run like crap.

ii dont have the manual for it is there a site showinf the plug specs?

 

 

an if they were the wrong ones would they throw the timing

no to timing ,plug number should be on your under hood sticker ,or call the parts dork at a dealer

Won't affect the timing...You should be able to find the book at almost any autoparts/Wal-Mart hanging in the isle where the plugs are. Also make sure they are gapped properly.

i checked the book in the parts isle at walmart but the furthest back year they have is i think 1992 i looked in my chilton but i dont remember seeing anything displaying which plugs to use

..........and 1995 came AFTER 1992....so it's there.

Im thinking they might be gapped wrong, like maybe they just pulled them out of the box and threw em in. I know I just ran champions in my 94 305 with no problems. I do know that the 96 and new with the vortech pretty much need the ac-delco plugs or equivilant platinum (or is it iridium?) other wise it will run like crap

If you have a chilton there should be something in there about the plugs, cant say it will have an exact part number, but it will tell you what to gap them at.

According to my Haynes manual you need AC CR43TS plugs gapped at .035''

If they crossed a wire when they change the plugs it will run like crap. Did they change the cap and rotor? What brand plug and part # did they put in?
