Well this sucks

Today I hurt myself and had to go to the hospital. Dad and I were fixing the combine when the worn out auger that had a razor blade edge on it somehow cut me. Sliced my arm open right above my wrist clear to the bone. I got real lucky in that it barely missed some ligaments, that would have really been bad. I didn't even realize I had been cut until I heard something hitting my boot, it was blood gushing out of my arm. I was surprised that with this deep of a cut all they did was staple it up. This sucks, I won't be able to do much outside for the next few days so I am going to be climbing up the walls of this house. I don't sit still very well. Things were going too well for us in this repair, something bad had to happen, but usually it isn't something this bad.

Don't push it. You may go crazy sitting around for a couple of days but you will go crazier with a bad hand because you didn't wait long enough. Just post like crazy around here.

I'm guessing you got cut on the top of your wrist and not the bottom? It could have been really bad had the cut been on the bottom of your wrist. Hope it heals up quickly.

You sound like a farmer--can't stand to be cooped up! (That's a good thing.) Sorry to hear it but you came out pretty well. When you're old you can tell your grandkids how dangerous farm amchinery is and they will ignore you just like I always did mine. ;)

I hear you, I got bit by a chainsaw when I was younger. You do know that Farm kids heal quicker than other's right? Just go outside and let the air get to it.
