"performance chips..."

ive heard all about performance chips for vehicles, i have a 00' silverado z71, what exactly will it do, does it affect the gas mileage, and will warranties still cover it...(can you easily install and remove it, how much $$$$.

 

is it worth it?

There is not actually a chip available for the newer chevies, but there is a computer re-programmer available...it does the same thing. Look to Superchip or Hypertech on the internet.  Good luck and Welcome to the forum.
