EBCM or ABS PUMP

OK I have a 2004 GMC Sierra

4WD 5.3 JL4 Brake system

Tried to bypass my ABS system... still cant get my brakes to work.. so I guess I will have to fix it the right way...

Before I couldnt get anything to bleed I had a pump motor circuit shorted... ABS

I put all new calipers... and a new master cylider. Bypassed the abs pump etc and cant get it to bleed still. (couldnt bleed it before because I couldn't run the automated bleed from the scantool)

So now my plan is to put all Copper (cupro) nickle lines and fix my ABS module...

Question is --- Is it the pump that bad or the EBCM... I see that many people rebuild the module and it seems to be a common problem. No one has spoke of the actual pump being no good.

Oh BTW - I cleaned the grounds on my frame under the door and it did not fix the problem..

Any one?

OK so... No resistance in the pump.... just took it off... Service manual says to replace both bpmv and ebcm...

I take it that it burns the module out when that happens???

Salvage ones are everywhere... but it took me a while to find one that is JC4 compatible... Not JL4 as a said earlier
