PCV Tube Removal

This is gonna sound a bit nuts, but is there a trick to removing the PVC tube from the right-side rocker cover tube on a new model Sierra ? There's a clip on the end that won't give way. I don't want to just yank it off and damage something, and the shop manual isn't much help, it just says remove it ?? I'm putting on an Airaid tube I picked up half price so I figure it can't hurt.

I just put the Airaid tube on Thursday. The tab is on the bottom at the rear of the plastic part and hard to see and get to. Push it to to your right (facing the truck) while pulling it off.

 

BTW I removed the tube the next day and put the stock intake back on. I have a Corsa touring exhaust which has a nice but not real loud rumble when you get on it. With the tube all I could hear was the roar from under the hood. I would rather hear the exhaust. I thought it may be this way so I had ordered it online from Advance Auto with free shipping and a 20% off code so it was $100 and I knew I could just return it to my local Advance store.

Wow, thanks for the tip. I have the Corsa exhaust also, so maybe I'll just forget the tube for a while. I only paid $50 for it from a guy why got rid of his truck. I'll leave things as they are.

i wanna get a airaid cold air intake for my truck i got glass packs

 

 

you wont hear the intake at all. I cant hear my Volant

 

 

My Volant can't be heard either, yo ucan definately hear the exhaust though.....When I had the AirAid CAI, it was very noticable.
