Hey guys- I'm looking to get new drums and shoes ordered for my truck (just rear brakes). I looked on ACDelco's site and punched those numbers into Amazon. They have some pretty good prices there. However, I found 2 different part numbers for the drums and I'm not sure what one to choose. One is 50 bucks and the other is 162 bucks. Here are the part numbers: 18B555 and 177-0916. I'm not sure what the difference is and Amazon says both will fit my truck. I appreciate any help on this!

Thanks!

Ok, I think I might have figured it out. The less expensive ones are ACDelco Durastop part and the others are the OE Service parts. What do you guys recommend? There is quite a large difference in price unfortunately. Thanks for any help guys!

The old saying is usually true: You get what you pay for. I have bought cheaper parts before and they don't last. If you can afford it, get the best. Good luck!

Any other opinions on this guys? I know I can't be the only one who has purchased brakes off the Internet. Thanks!!

Catalog shows the expensive drum 17" disc/drum,w/ABS. RPO codes JF3, JF7. The other is 13.25"

They are not different sizes, the more expensive on is what comes on the vehicle from the factory and has a gm part number and you are paying for GM certification. What is interesting is that they only offer a 12 months warranty on the oe one but the durastop is lifetime, as far as brake warranties are of any use anyway. Either will be suitable or so would something from a company like centric, raybestos or wagner as long as you stick to their premium lines the quality is very good.

I guess the whole reason I wanted to go with ACDelco was because after I did the front brakes I have been getting squeaking from time to time. I didn't buy the cheapest parts either, so I figured I would be better off getting what the truck came with. I'll look and compare prices.
