Doing seat covers yourself is a lot of work but it's something anyone can do. Take your time and start with the back seat, it's the easiest to do. You won't need hog ring pliers or hog rings with GM seats - everything clips together with no special tools required. I do recommend the purchase of a pair of stretcher pliers as seen in the link below. The new covers require a lot of stretching to get them on and your fingers will be very sore without the pliers. To install the headrest covers, I placed plastic grocery bags over the foam for the headrest and attached a shop vac to the grocery bag to compress the foam. I left the bags in place when done. GM uses the same technique - you'll find the plastic bags still in the headrest from the factory install.
