Trans cooler fan and t-stat

I want to put a 7 inch Pro Comp fan on my B&M cooler. I would like to make it automatic, but doesn't have to be. For automatic ones can someone tell me or give suggestions on the harness and where to tap in?

Some of the automatic ones I have seen have a temp sensor that you attach to the radiator or cooler, the sensor just rests in between fins, and does not have any fluid contact.

I'd like one with fluid contact. I see a lot designed for multiple fans and they have an a/c relay

anyone put a probe in the B&M Supercooler? doesnt look like it would accept one.I have the B&M Supercooler p/n 70268. probes look too thick for the fins on the cooler

What, how often, and how heavy do you tow with that 4.8L that you think you need all these different coolers and fans? That 13,000 BTU cooler is rated for a truck with around 19,000 GVW. You shouldn't be having problems with heat. What are your temps like when you are towing these loads? Seeing you have an 11" cooler, I would just go with the 10" fan.

 

I never had any issues with the factory tranny,oil coolers, ever towing or hauling anything. Pull 16ft trailer with 4 full sized Arctic Cat atv's to WV and back 2 times a year without issues.

i tow livestock quite a bit. and coming in the next month or 2 ill start seeing ambient temps of 110 plus. right now not towing i see day to day driving temps of 150-175ish and towing 200-225. and that was 70 degrees outside with 1 steer in the trailer. and i didnt have the factory cooler in my truck.
