BlackZ71Silverado Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 OK, spoke with her again today. She stated that she know the service manager is not being totally truthful with her. Keeps getting worse with this guy, he is now saying that he contacted me at the same number GM has been keeping in touch and I told him that I forgive them and I am not looking for any corrective action!!!!! He's got to be kidding. Funny thing is, the time he said he spoke with me, I was on the line with the GM rep. Sent her the photos of the damage and she was appalled and said it was not acceptable for that to happen, ever. After I hung up with her, I got another call about 25-30min. later. It was the owner of all of the dealerships. He asked if I could make it to the main dealership on Monday to meet with him, of course I said I would be there. He then went on to say " I may be able to put you into a 2012 of your choosing". Got a little excited about that, but then again, I would like to keep my truck if it gets fixed, don't want or need a new one. After I told him that, he said that if the repairs were not made and up to my standards I could pick a new truck off the lot, either Silverado or Sierra, said he didn't care. Just wants to make a life long customer happy. He also said that if the need be for a new one, he would order all the aftermarket stuff I have on my current truck for a new one. This is the 6th vehicle I bought from his Chevrolet dealership and this one time I made the mistake of going to a GMC branch that I have never been to, won't happen again....Live and learn I guess.
swissvalian Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Glad to hear you are closer to a resolution. Now I wonder if anything happened to the service manager, given that it somehow got escalated to the owner. Did the GM rep contact the owner because the SM was a chronic liar? Or did the SM escalate it himself, figuring it would be better for the owner to hear it from him rather than have GM go over his head? Oh, the possibilities.
BlackZ71Silverado Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 Spoke with owner of the dealerships yesterday for about an hour. Went over everything on the truck and he said it was definately unacceptable. Asked to leave the truck there if I could, so I left it. He said he will personally deliver it when it's acceptable by his standards, as if it were his truck. He again said if it can't be resolved, the truck will be replaced with one of my choosing.......Let you guys know what happens when I hear from him again.
11Silvy Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Getting a new truck? Awesome! Having that bastard fired? PRICELESS!
BlackZ71Silverado Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 Got truck back, looks like it did the day I dropped it off to have the seal replaced. Not exactly sure what they did but all the deeper scratches are now gone. Doesn't smell like they did any painting. Happy this finally got resolved, service manager from dealership that did the damage and story telling is looking for work as we speek. The cost of repairs was covered by the dealership owner. Last time I go to have warranty work done. Anything else will be done in my garage by me. Sent from my iPhone4S using Tapatalk
Mossyoakglock Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Any pictures? I'm curious to see what is looked like before you went in for warranty work, the scratches and then after the repair.
BlackZ71Silverado Posted May 18, 2012 Author Posted May 18, 2012 I don't take many pictures of any of my vehicles but the truck looks great. No scratches or swirls, just like when I dropped it off. Will post some on a nice sunny day. Sent from my iPhone4S using Tapatalk
