Newbie looking for service report

I can get anything at the nissan dealer and i used to for my 06 maxima at cost because i was in with the parts manager. the chevy dealer here is stingy and i dont like working with them, the gmc dealer seems partially willing to work with their customers for parts

I'm not talking about the VIN but the info contained in that file- the warranty info is GMs, not yours. They use warranty claim into to track failure trends and see if there is something that might warrant a TSB or even a service campaign/recall.

 

 

As for the dealer not giving a part number, that is them, not GM. Dealers are free to make their own choices. I suggest you find a better one as I've never had issues getting part numbers but I've also worked in the industry and know how to speak to a parts person better than an average customer.

LOL..........you don't like working with them. MAYBE, they choose not to work with you. When you go there looking for information such as a part number, it's up to THEM to work with you, not a matter of you working with them, that doesn't even make sense. You go there because YOU need something, not because they need something from you.

no its my family and that dealer. my step dad used to work there as a tech. so did a bunch of his friends. they were there for about 10 years. they all left and started up their own shop. so the older guys at the dealership still know about it and theres sour feelings

THat explains a lot I guess....Though maybe you were trying to get part information from the dealer you had the discussion with on that fake "SS". LOL, tell him you want some 2012 SS emblems for your truck.

The fake SS was back when I lived in Florida and was in the military. I don't want a GMC SS although the front bumper cover I'm getting resembles the lover bumper cover of a Silverado SS
