OGM-1 Firmware 060612

Just to let you guys know, I have recently installed an OGM-1 into a 2010 LT. Thanks Walt for the help!

That being said, I installed the unit Monday, and have been unable to play videos from either my iphone 4s or from a 4. I have been researching, not wanting to bother Walt and saw that on the advent site there is a firmware of 06062012. Wanting to fix my time zone issue I installed the update. I can now play video from my 4s and my ipad2. I assume there was some simple setting. It does not appear to fix the time zone issue.

FYI I am able to use the iphone 4s seamlessly with both the factory bluetooth and it easily transfers to the OGM-1 interface. Call quality seems to be identical.

So far I am more impressed at the Navigation that I thought I would be. It would be very hard to beat the service and support of adcmobile and Walt.

Finally, we have new firmware!

I've been using this for almost a month, and so far it's been perfectly stable, although there's not a ton of new features for an Android owner like me...

It's recommended that all iPhone users update to gain the additional Pandora capabilities and additional memory tweaks. If you're not an iPhone user, and everything is working fine on your unit, you may or may not want to download and install this firmware, but if it were me, I would do it to gain whatever "invisible" upgrades may be included (I'll try to get a full changelog from Advent).

This release has some memory optimization fixes to help stabilize iGo Primo when using iPod/iPhone with large song lists. Not being an iPhone guy, I couldn't vouch for these fixes, but Advent was aware that some users had some stability issues, and this is one of the major reasons behind the delay in releasing this version.

You can download the User's Manual for the Pandora update here, and once you've used it, I would be very interested in your feedback!

Anybody check to see if it includes the fix for browsing preset stations from the wheel controls?

It does...

Anyone have this XM issue after the update?

Everything seemed to go smoothly but now when I go into XM, I can't use the channel guide as nothing is there but I can use direct entry to type in a channel and it will come in but when I try to save it as a preset instead of getting a station name I get a random series of numbers.

Does the XM tuner need to re-populate/update itself now? I only poked around for a few minutes as I had to get back to work.

That's exactly the issues I've had a few times last January. Twice, I called XM and had them send a reset to my tuner. Once, it resumed service on it's own after a few restarts.

God I hope it just starts working again, XM has the worst customer service on the planet. I don't want to talk to them.

To anyone else who has this issue: I spoke with Walt and he recommended a reset using the reset button on the radio. I'll give that a shot after work tonight and report back.

Just curious if you ever tried disconnecting the Neg Terminal on your battery for a couple of minutes and let everything reboot?

That is what I do .

I also ran the update from Advent and Igo yesterday and today. My next phone WILL be an Iphone, never had one. But they should be out with the new one with a bigger screen then. :rollin:

I will say that I also updated my map via the Naviextras toolbox. My time zone issue "seems" to be fixed. I do not have an XM subscription so I cannot comment on XM.

The reboot solved my XM issue, all is well now. Took me a while to get all my presets and other settings back but the Pandora support is worth it.

This is to reboot on-star and the XM module. It will reset/reboot all the trucks modules.

Just updated myself. Had to disconnect the battery as well to get the XM preset problem cleared as well. Didnt really put it through its paces but it seems stable. No iPhone here either :/.

Hate to be complaining right way but I am not crazy about the change to the preset buttons. Its cool to jump through the presets but it is only for the 6 presets on the screen - I was hoping they would automatically jump to the next "band" and keep going. I cant see that being that difficult to program. The jump button (the single "|>" button below the mute button) does the same thing. They could have at least set that to be for changing to the next channel.
