Ever since I've had the truck, every now and then the radio will forget the time. I have the Bose system, if that has any effect. Sometimes I'll get in the truck, and before I start it I'll hear the CD changer clicking, like it's resetting or something. Every time it does this it forgets the time. It still remembers the presets. Is this a common problem that can be easily fixed, or should I just get a Bose adapter and a new radio?

Have you been in contact with your local dealer? This may be solved with something as simple as an update. I would recommend contacting them for more specific information. Let me know if you need anything in the meantime. Thank you.

Had this problem with my D/A 2008 Sierra, one of the batteries was bad, I had to ask a forum to get the answers after being back 3 times, once they checked them like I told them to do - Oh! the passenger side battery was bad.

Symtoms were the clock would reset to 12:00 midnight and the AC would come on Automatic even though it was 40 degrees outside, you reset everything and go out in the morning to start the truck and back would come the problem. New battery no problems.

My battery seems to be fine, even in the heat.

While the time thing isn't bad, the cd changer skipping when I change tracks is. Also, the sound quality of my fm iPod transmitter sucks, it isn't nearly as clear as a CD. I might spring for an Alpine or Kenwood unit with BT and USB in a while, but I've spent a lot of money on the truck lately so I'll probably wait til fall at least.
