GMPP Touring Muffler

I have been looking at the Magnaflow 12589 muffler only. I would like to make my truck sound more like a V8 truck than the factory. I don't want obnoxious, so would I be better off with the touring or the sport? These are great prices that are cheaper than the Magnaflow.

Can you get this muffler from anywhere but Borla? Is there a GM part # that goes with this as well? trying to get a friend who works at a dealer to find this for me.

I may jump on this as well to switch it up. I want some sound but not like a 14" flowmaster. It's hell trying to find clips online with it being labeled as the sport or touring muffler. Trying to figure out which one I want to get.

Yeah I most clips are the whole cat back. Havent found any with just the muffler. And finding this muffler in Canada is proving to be a challenge lol

Well, the sound of the catback compared to just the muffler swap should be darn close. Idk if you would be able to tell a difference at all in sound.

I apologize for the delay, as it has been an extremely busy week for me. The video quality is not that great as it was shot with my iphone. The audio does not really capture how low the tone is that well.

This video is of the same muffler as well and captures the sound/tone better than my videos.

Thanks for the clips bud!

Im so torn what to do. Dealing with customs & shipping to Canada worries me. Not sure if I should chance it, or go with something the local shop offers, like Magnaflow which may be a bit cheaper for me. I think Ive read every exhaust thread on this forum trying to find part #s for mufflers, and whats available to me. My brain hurts lol. This was so much easier with my Mustang. Flowmasters and be done with it. Its supposed to be noisy as hell :D

I just received my GMPP Sport via FedEx. I ordered it Wednesday! They packed it in a box that was the exact size of the muffler! There are a couple small dime sized dents in it, but I'm not gonna worry. It'll be under the truck. Now I just need to get the band clamps and I'm good to go.

I was told the smaller can was the louder one. That came out to be the 6.75" muffler. I got that information straight from Borla.
