Just ordered the sport muffler for my 6.0L 2500HD. Has anyone installed one on this engine. I think my pipes are 3", but i'll make it fit...

I installed one for someone with the HD and the ends are able to be puffed to fit. If you don't have the tools to do it, just use 3"to 2.75" adapters. Sounds much better on the 6.0 btw.

Got my Borla Touring muffler in the mail today. Now that I have both, I will be doing a full comparison between the Touring & the Sport series on dimensions, sound, mounting, and looks very soon.

The touring should be only 1" larger in diameter, makes it a little calmer than the sport. They are the exact same length.

I finally got my touring muffler installed two days ago. Sounds great going down the road. Funny I seem to hear it more when I have the windows rolled up than with them down while driving in traffic. I haven't gotten it out on the highway yet. The idle is a little softer than what I thought it would be. But overall, I am very happy and pleased with it, especially since the truck still has the stock look.

Thanks for the info..... I had a Corsa Sport on my 02 HD but sold it. Wanting a different muffler on my 10 HD it sounds like Borla is going to be it.

MPG Update:

After 4 tanks of gas I have noticed approx. 0.5 MPG increase in city driving and slightly over 1 MPG increase on Highway driving.

That's on par for what I am seeing also, after 3 tanks of 87 octane Shell gas. 1.0 - 1.2 mpg increase at 70mph on the freeway over a 100 mi trip. Previously pulling 19.1 - 19.3, now pulling 20.1 - 20.3 mpg.

And BTW, I also installed a Airaid MIT jr kit with their synthetic dry filter.
