Stock air box loose?

So I was changing my oil yesterday and decided to also change out the air filter (Wix). I noticed a lot of play with the entire air box? Is everyone else's air box feel loose?

I know on the GMT 800 boxes there are plastic push retainers that sometimes come loose on the bottom

yeah mines pretty loose too, it doesnt seem to be hurting anything but i suppose you would expect higher standards on a vehicle like this but yeah we know how that goes ;)

Isn't the airbox rubber mounted? Rubber mounting reduces the effects of vibration on sensitive parts like MAF sensor. In that case, it is not the cheap way out, it is a higher standard.

the airboxes are have tabs on the bottom that are pushed into rubber grommets on the base. not only does it absorb vibrations, but you can pull up the airbox and check the filter without taking the four screws out to split the airbox, and simply "pop" it back in place.
