Carder09 Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I think they look alright, but IMO looked better before... When I got my truck, a lot of people said,"oh it's black, black it out." I spend a lot of time around equipment and semis on the farm etc, and I don't understand why people want to limit others' ability to see them. A percent of tint on your tails could be the difference between someone slamming on their brakes or slamming into the back of your truck. JMO I agree with this also. Now I do like the "smoked out" look where the lights are partially tinted but def not blacked out but hey, It looks good for a custom job, now all she need to do it coat the 3rd brake light to match!!! lol
SarahsGMC Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 i absolutely HATED the orange on the tail lights and i didnt want to see it, my tail lights are visible so its fine and if anyone is following me close enough to hit me they are an ignorant ass. yes the third light will be taken care of probably tomorrow
TimmyG Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 This was posted on here before and i saved thr pic because this is how o want mine if i do them Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
RyanbabZ71 Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 if anyone is following me close enough to hit me they are an ignorant ass. Honestly that doesnt matter. I was behind a guy who had his blacked out he jambed on his breaks for no apparaent reason (oh wait he decided to turn at the last possible moment with no turn signal) and if I was any closer I would have destroyed his car. They do make it harder for people to see.
Roscopcoletrain Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Yeah, those smoked ones above aren't too bad. Not so much a fan of the all black imo

They do make it harder for people to see. its not a big deal if the tails are tinted lightly and still easily visible, but when people tint them with 7 layers of nightshade and are 1% transparent, it become a hazard
SarahsGMC Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 im happy with them, they are bright thats only 2 coats of vht, everyone i know loves em and thats all that matters to me
Carder09 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Ugh VHT looks so ghetto. IMO if you are gonna tint or candy your tails, do it right and get it done professionally Or if you are very skilled then do it yourself lol.
scz71864 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 From a guy that tinted his tail lights like you did on my old tahoe, I thought it looked bad ass until i kept looking at it. After a while it got old and its hard to see at night. I ended up buying a new pair witin a few months. IMO i think your truck would look better with regular head lights and tails.
