Body Lift

How much would a 3" body lift cost for a 99 Silverado?  Do they make anything shorter than that (1.5" or 2")?  How much would it cost to have it installed or should I do it myself?

Yea you can get a 2" body like I have. I guess your trying to clear that tire rim combo. (Pratically the exact setup I have) The body lift itself is around $200 to $300 amd the install will probably run anywhere between $200 and $450.

You can install it w/ the aid of a friend in the better part of a day.  Not too difficult and you need pretty much basic hand tools.  I've got some install info on my site w/ some pics.  It took me two 10 hour days to do it w/ the aid of a few friends, mainly because we took a lot of pictures of the whole install.

I installed one on my '99, it wasn't to bad. The front bumper brackets where fun to install. I got mine from summit for around $240 I think.

Here are some pics from about 2 years ago. My only mods at the time were the 2" body lift, Mickey Thompson Rims, 285/75/16 Bridgestone M/Ts (which I don't recommend, they wore down fast, and wet traction is aweful. I would go with BFGs, even BFG All Terrains, which I have now, beat the Bridgestone Mud Terrains.) the hood ornament, and true dual flowmaster exhaust.

The trucks got a ton more mods now but its stance is the same.
