Need Side Step Opinions

Recommended Posts

I am putting on 3" body lift and need steps that mount to the body. I know about N-fab but crazy expensive as I am in Canada. I will pay the $700 dollars if I hAVE to but I hope there is other choices out there. I'm pretty sure other ppl can chime in and give some advice. It would be great.

Thx

If you have a GMT-900, I think all nerf bars will now mount to the body.

As for N-FAB steps, I love mine, although they were a little pricey compared to the other tube types. But IMO, they are built better than the others I have owned including the GM OEM stainless nerf bars.

I got my n-fab from www.runningboardwarehouse.com and they were quite a bit cheaper than buying them at an off-road shop.

Is it true that every nerf bar will mount to the body on my gmt-900?

Also what style of Nfab looks best ? I was thinkin cab length black hoop style.

And BC they r black does the finish last ? I have heard stories of them rusting out pre - maturely

I got the wheel to wheel nfab bars for my truck in black. They are powdercoated, which should honestly hold up better than others. The key is to make sure that there are no chips in the powdercoat due to the shipping process. If there are, make sure you hit those with some black paint to make sure that everything is coated well.

mine are cab length. had them on for close to a year and zero issues with the finish. of course I live in the salt-free south.

Not all need bars mount to the body on 900s, but many do. I have Go Rhino Dominators and they look as good as the day I bought them after almost 5 years. They were cheaper than NFabs at the time.

Verify before you order any step bars that they mount to the body-NOT THE BODY BOLTS that hold the cab on to the frame. Those are bad news.

every regular 3" round tube step i have seen still mounts to the body bolts. flat running boards, n-fabs. amp researchs etc all mount to the body
