2003 z71 5.3 issues

ok ive got a 2003 silverado 271 with the 5.3l in it.

 

and ive got some major issues with a vacum leak or something

its gotten worse the last couple of days

 

at redlights or stop signs when i come to a complete stop the trucks rpms drop badly.

and dies sometimes or when im going through a store parking lot to find a spot at low speed.

it will try an die or if i make a turn to park it right or left the truck dies.

 

could i get some suggestions asap please!!

RPM dropping could be a dirty throttle body have you tried cleaning that?

yeah ive cleaned that and the issue is still there.

 

now one mechanic said it could be the IAC but the 03 does not have that from what i understand.

the iac on the 03 is built into the TAC??

 

so if thats the case then id have to replace the TAC which is right at 160$.

My 01Z did the same thing!!! it Would completely turn it self off when i made a sharp turn!! I think my mechanic traced it back to a fuse or shorted out wire i think???

Yea it did ,it would drop really low while idling

Another thing you can check is to see if the torque converter is staying locked up. That will cause it to stall at low speeds.
