Chrome clad 20" wheels

I have a 2012 GMC 1500 SLE that came with 20" chrome clad wheels and I'm trying to find out if anybody has removed the "cladding"/caps, and had the alum. wheels buffed out? Thanks.

Yes, check out the for sale section. A guy is selling some that arent 100% polished out.

I was doing some market research on what kind of wheels people like and stumbled across these comments. I figured since I used to work for one of the companies that made chrome-clad wheels I’d offer some facts that may be helpful.

 

The wheels are designed so that the claddings are permanently fused to the wheel and not replaceable. But if you really want them off I am sure you will find a way to do it. I would recommend you find a reseller of remanufactured wheels to take them off your hands or post them on here. If you need recommendations on who does buy them send me a PM.
