im driving a 2009 silverado i am in the process of blacking the truck out, so im looking for advice on how to remove the silverado letters off my doors and the letters off the tail gate. also looking for tips on the best way to cover up the chrome on my front and rear bumpers.

I took mine off with a piece of fishing line and 3m adheisive remover (just don't let it sit on there to long). Was pretty easy imo. Had a body shop take off the dealer logo since I didn't have a pin wheel...

i did my 2006 silverado with a pressure washer... just get the jet under the decal/badge and work with it... took me about 3 minutes.

I used fishing line to get the badges off and a 3m eraser wheel to get the glue off. The eraser wheel was amazing. I had the whole truck debadged in 10 minutes.

i just pull them off... get your finger nail behind them and pull, or use a plastic pry tool. heat gun. goof off, anything

as far as the bumpers go its your call. linex, paint, powder coat, spray paint, plastidip. i had my black truck bumpers wrapped with vinyl. lasted 3 years so i just did it to my new silver truck after finding a silver that matches the body color perfectly

keep in mind on a black truck that's a few years old you might have to do some decent work to completely get rid of seeing where it had the badges, maybe some buffing and a real good wax job

I had a friend who does body work do my tailgate cause I'm chicken. He used a plastic scraper tool, then an eraser wheel and a few different buffing compounds. He also fixed a small scratch an idiot coworker put on the tailgate. By the time he was done the tailgate was the best looking paint on the truck.
