I'd definitely file a complaint with GM Cust Svc and have a different dealer check out the whole installation and all the air bag and any other safety equipment. They should have test equipment to see if the airbag circuits are properly hooked up and working. No doubt that testing wasn't done with this dealer/mechanic. You may be relying on safety of an airbag system that doesn't work. Get it properly checked. This isn't just bolt A goes in hole B or connector A to receptacle B. Safety of you and your passengers may be compromised.
