1500 wheel/rim options

I have an 08 Sierra 1500 4x4. It has the 20" wheel option and this spring I got a set of GMC style 20" polished wheels to replace the stock alum. 20's. I really don't want to run these in the winter. What options do I have? I'm thinking 17" oem steel wheels with a winter/all terrain tire (?). I'm sure this will mess with my TPS unless the winter set has the sensors put in. Is there a way to turn the tps off? I'm asking because I'm not sure. Any links/help would be great. Thanks

look in your manual under tpms, The relearn process is pretty easy to do if your spare wheels have the sensor in them. you will need to break the link though. When I bought my wheels the truck would not learn the new sensors in my new wheels when my factory set was in range, i did not know this untill I had taken the factory tire and wheel out when I had gotten home and removed the tire our of my bed. On my way to work the next day my light came on and was pissed, lol, but they did fix it. Lessons learned

It does not chime, an error will show up on your DIC, just hit enter and it will go away. The light will flash momentarily then go solid. But, like I said no chime.
