Why would you need a siren in a personal vehicle?

Can't say anything about the sirens, but I have a Soundoff Pinnacle mini lightbar on my truck. (Along with a 6 channel Whelen 90 watt strobe setup.) Check out this link at sirennet.com. They have a few youtube videos. http://www.sirennet.com/soepl7.html

I love it. Its decent during the day and at night its almost blinding. Gets peoples attention. I bought the first one around here and now there's about 5 or 6 other guys that have the light and I have not heard any complaints or problems.

Each state is different. In CA the Department of Motor Vehicles defines an "emergency vehicle" and the lighting and siren required.
