Some news (on alignment) I'm not too excited to hear...

Took my 02 Silverado into the dealer to have a couple things done to it, including an alignment. I get a call from them saying that the toe of the front tires is out by 2.5 degrees from the specs and it cannot be adjusted any further. The thing is I replaced all the ball joints, control arm bushings, inner and outer steering links, pitman arm, idler arm, and idler arm frame mount assembly, as well as the steering gear, all within the last 18 months, most of them in the past 6 months. The technician said he was going to remove the steering link from the steering gear, even though I'm not sure how he could realign it because it sits into the splines a certain way. Anyways, if anyone could possibly give some suggestions of what to do if this is at all possible.

 

I did install a lift kit recently (which is why I'm getting alignment), but it did not throw out the toe too bad. Hopefully I can get some good suggestions or the dealer will fix the problem, without ripping me off <----

rough country. Got another call today from them saying the outer tie rod end had three missing threads? Not sure what thats all about, but I picked up another one and everything is good now.

 

The weird thing is I replaced the outer and inner tie rod ends on both sides when I installed the lift. I'm just happy to get my truck back (it's been down since July)
