Installing a 2012 nav in a 2012 silverado 1500

I purchased a new 2012 nav DVD unit for my 2012 1500 silverado ltz. Tried installing it and plugs are different. I have since been told u can not add a 2012 nav to a 2012 model yr truck it has to be 2011 and down. Has any body done this. Or am I selling or retuning nav unit

Call gregg at cps. He has the adapter you need. I do not have the number handy so refer to my nav install thread.

I did this back in April, if you call Greg at CPS audio Video he should be able to get you the adapters, the nav unit also has an XM tuner already so you will not be using your old one. Also if you ever thought of adding DVD Players for kids or anything you might get the video harness so you can play videos on either the add on screens/ dvd players and have the sound play through the speakers or play the dvd in the nav unit and play the video on the addon monitors.. I also have factory Bose, what unit did you get?? Did you get the 2012 unit with the internal hard disc drive?? What part number did you get??

It is a 2012 model #22870863 is it same as yours.

 

The connections on back are way diff and more than my stock bose

It should be one big 40 pin connection plus rear enterttainment, vss, gps, sat radio and am fm antenna. The person we refered you too makes the adapter you need. Give him a call and he will set you up. he can even program your radio for you if needed.
