Im gonna use the shit out of it, Then probably sell it for 1000 or 2 more.. Hopefully it really doesnt need much,

Someone just had a post about the tahoe 5.3 and possibly doing a 6.0..so i told him to ask you about your expierience,

Your gonna have to shift 1 -5, then back nuetral, pull a little lever for the splitter, then 6-10. Same as a semi. Not a bad looking truck for the price. Hope you have a CDL. Assuming you need one, you would in Indiana.

You know i didnt even think of the cdl... What determines if its a cdl or not? Is it the gvw or the size of the truck?

Yea i cant wait..there so much i could use it for! Not sure what to start with..like if i picked up and old gas truck i would start with fuel filter,plugs,wires..etc.

Were do i start?

If that's an old style two speed, it's not like a range changer like a semi. . It's a two speed rear axle. It's a hi and low for every gear. There'll be a little red button on the side of the shifter.

To shift with a two speed rear axle if you are loaded start out in low gear with red button down, I will only shift to hi when I have it in 4 th gear, go about it like you are shifting into another gear off gas hit clutch pull up on the red button and you will be in hi on the rear end. Or if you want to feel like a real truck driver you can split shift it, which is going from 1st gear button down, off gas hit clutch pull up on button hit gas, until it needs another gear, and here is where it can get tricky, off gas hit clutch push down on red button shift to second gear, repeat, repeat again. And then when you are in 4th gear hi and need to stop or slow down or start up a hill you can down shift the same way, by going off gas hit clutch and push the button down, when you need more pull or stopping off gas, hit clutch pull up on red button and down shift to 3rd, repeat as needed until you top out or need to pick up speed. It is a lot easier for me to do than to tell you how to do it?? :jester:

Well, you have a hi and low in every gear. It works like a splitter on a semi. When you rev out in first, you pop the button up, back off the throttle and it gives you another half gear higher. When you go to shift the main up to second you drop the button back down into low, and repeat with every gear. I don't think they even make them like that anymore. They were all the rage on old, single axle, gas job, farm trucks.

I looked at the ad, did you buy it? ebay says it has ended? Did you ask if the bed is power up and power down? Or is it just power up? You can get by with out power down but they are nice to have. :jester:
