Sliding tool box help

Hey guys I know it's been a while since I've posted on here been crazy busy with work and school and now about to start a fire academy. Here's my problem, with starting a fire academy I really don't want to put my dirty turn out jacket pants and equipment in the cab so I want to get a bed tool box. I've had them in every truck I've had and have simply bolted them down using grade 8 bolts but in this one I don't want to bolt it down.

I've been hunting for the actual GM sliding tool box for the cargo management system but having been discontinued it's been nearly impossible to find. So now I've been looking for the brackets that attach to the cargo rails and bolt to the box itself so I can buy my own bed box and attach them but thus far have come up empty handed. Does anyone have any sources for the box or parts for or even any other options?

My big thing is keeping it secure but fairly easy to remove since there are times I use my entire bed. I refuse to bolt it down because I hate drilling holes in the bed and its a pain to unbolt them. Sorry for the long winded post but if anyone has help I'd appreciate it.

Also if anyone has any good sources for the actual rail system cheapest I've found is $215 any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah thats the one I'm looking for. I sent them a email earlier but haven't recieved one back yet but I've also contacted couple other gm parts dealers and one has said they dont have them. So hoping one comes through. Being my truck is athe crew cab short bed it makes it hard to find a under the rail bed box that will be close enough to the bed rails to use J hooks. Plus not a big fan of those either. Wish I had the tools and parts to build my own brackets but unfortuneately I dont.

Unfortuneately my searching hasn't brought up any good results. Tracrac does make a kit but it doesn't sit low enough and don't like how their brackets sit on top of the bed rail rather than inside. But if anyone who has the gm sliding box can chime in and post up any photo's of the brackets I can see if I can fab something up similar and use my own chest. Again any help is appreciated. thanks

I can't find the link for it now but there is a company that makes a tool box that goes in the bed and pulls out to open. The only thing you give up is the depth of the bed, I remember them being high cost but I think for something like this it would be a good idea. :jester:

Again I dont want an over the rail box and the under the rail ones I can use j hooks because being short bed the wheel wells block the box from getting close enough to the bed rails.

I've seen the full length pull out boxes but thats overkill and need the depth more than length. I can't even find a good photo of the brackets that are attached to the gm sliding box to try and find a place that can fab up a set.

Bump still looking for info if anyone has anything of help. Otherwise I may have to go with the tracrac setup which is nice but hate how the rail for it sit on top of bed rails rather than inside and the box still sits a little higher than the bed rail.
