EBC vs. Hawk vs OEM pad life

If this needs to be moved, please do.

I have seem the hundreds of posts on Hawk and EBC brakes and how good they are and how well they stop but I haven't seen anything related pad life. Yesterday I finally realized that my truck does not stop that well so it's time to upgrade (probably should have upgraded a long time ago).

I will probably go with some Power Slot slotted rotors but still unsure on EBC or Hawk pads. How is the pad life on the EBC and Hawk pads compared to OEM or even something like the Wagner Thermoquiets? I have 60K on my truck now with stock pads and they seem to have quite a bit of pad left, I just want better stopping power.

Edit: I was looking around on RockAuto and they have Centric and Power Stop (either cross-drilled, slotted or both) for reasonable prices compared to Power Slot. How do these compare and are they good rotors?

I use the Hawk "HPS" pads on my 2001 Z28 (Sara), and find that they are very low dusting, and kind to the rotors.

I use the Baer "Eradaspeed" rotors that are true cross drilled and slotted. I would stay away from the "dimpled" hole rotors. The Eradaspeed rotors are manufactured correctly so you will have no problems with rotor cracking as with the cheaper units.

Ok, so I've been researching different pads and rotors for the last hour. I think I might go with Power Slot slotted rotors with EBC GreenStuff pads.

These will have better stopping performance over stock, but how do they last compared to stock pads and rotors?

I use Hawk HPS pads along with Power Slot Cryo rotors on all my cars when they need new brakes. I have tried the drilled rotors in the past but I will not buy them again. Mine cracked where they were drilled.

As far as pad life. For me they tend to last about they same mileage as the OEM pads. They produce a little less brake dust and seem to stop better. I can not comment on the EBC pads or the Power Stop rotors because I have never had either of them. I am happy with the Hawks and Power Slots and don't have any reason to change

I had the Cryo on my classic 3 series I used to have. Seemed to be great rotors, I had a problem with normal rotors warping, but those never did. Plan on buying them for all my future upgrades also.
