Is there a way to permenantly disable the DRL feature on a 2010 Sierra. The pulling fuses 31 and 33 does not work on this truck as it stops the horn form working when arming the alarm and the memory seat feature. Or is the DRL and BCM controlled option now that can not be stopped?

Also where are the Xm and onstar boxes located at in the truck?

Thanks in advance....Todd

Isn't the fuse box labeled to which fuses go to what? Mine are 31 and 33. I've read some are 32 and 34. Should be labeled as HDLT LT and HDLT RT or something like that.

I'm not aware of the fuse pull option to disable DRL. I just turn the lights off when I get into the truck to save my bulb life, but I have to remember to turn them on if it gets dark outside while I'm driving.

Ok I found the XM module (behind glove box) and got it unhooked. I dont use XM and never plan on using it so I hate having to cycle through it when I am going thru my sources.

Also the fue trick on the DRL will not work on my truck. When you pull those fuses the truck no longer honks when you are the alarm and some of the memory seat features stop as well.

Anyone else know of any other options to permenantly disable the DRL on a 2010 Sierra?

Because I want to and I have HID lights on order, it is hard on the ballast.

Why cant GM use the front side marker lights like they do on my 2008 Corvette, the reason they dont use the lights it because of the HID lights the Corvette uses, hence the reason why I need ti disable them as well.

I know you are a GM tech Govtech, do you have any info you can provide?

nope, ive been out of GM since 08,

i know/think its federaly mandated to have DRL,and of course its controlled by the BCM,

you'll have to get creative with a schmatic and electrical prowless to get what you want

good luck

Yeah I was afraid that it had been moved to the BCM, and now it seems GM attached other circuits to the DRL in the fuse block in order to keep people from just pulling the fuses as a quick work around.

On the cavaliers people used to get a buddy to switch the to mexico standards using a dealer scan tool

I had HID's installed on my '12 Tahoe AND still have my DRL's. I do have a digital ballast.
