Sway bar bushings

I was under my 96 1500 the other day and I noticed the black rubber bushing was looking kinda ragged. From what I could see the bushing was shiny and looked like the hole was a little stressed or bigger than it should be on the passenger side the driver side looked ok and both sides have new links is there a way to test them or do I even need to worry about it?

cheap and easy to replace. you should replace them if they look rotted or if you can see any gaps around the bar in between the bushing
