5.3 liter supercharger install

I can't justify that lol. This 5.3 runs too good. It's really smooth, doesn't burn oil, and gets plenty of power for pulling.

 

That money will go to an old truck or a ski boat, if I ever get it haha

I got the 6.0 and a bass boat. I'm good. The 6.0 runs smmoth, burns no oil, a lot of pulling power, and can pull 18.6 MPG on the highway

watched the show, interesting on how thorough it is...one item I found real intersting was the pckg keeping the stock airbox with just a change on the air filter to high flow filter..

I have the same setup through Callaway. I was told by them that the factory box is efficient and doesn't hold heat like a metal aftermarket box. It is also "cold air" by design.

 

I think the truck that they supercharged is pretty nice, a gear change would be a good thing.

I'm running 3.73's with a six speed, they feel similar to the 4.10's that were mated to the four speed in my Vmax. That truck could use something even shorter with those tires, as they said on the show.

yep, 3.73's are perfect for what I do. when I was in high school I was really happy with the 4.10 gears on my 1990. I can't imagine my 2006 boosted.

Shouldn't be too expensive on a two wheel drive. Do you have the G80? You could just buy the whole works at a salvage yard. You may find one from an nht with 4.10's a G80 and rear discs ready to go.

That's hard to find. I have no G80. So 4.10's and a Detroit Trutrac will run me $1125
