Pretty sure that requires a dealer visit... or someone w/ a Tech3.

When you got your new tires installed, did they do the TPMS rebuild? I am running mine at 55 psi and haven't received any error notice on my DIC.

Negative...they did not mention a rebuild at all. That must be the issue.... do you know what the procedure is?

Honestly, I'm not sure what they do but they charged me for it. I had my tires installed at Discount Tire and was expecting to need my DIC reprogrammed. Sorry I'm not more helpful.

The TPMS is set to look for a 'magic' number (PSI)...and it will allow a variance either direction of that desired number...but only to an extent. If you have factory 20's, the magic number is probably around 35 PSI.....so anything over 42-43...or any less than 27-28 will probably trip the light. You'll need to get the system reset to run a higher PSI. For example, when I put 17", load range E tires on my last truck (which came with factory 20's), I had my dealer set the number to 45 PSI. That way, I could run 40-42 PSI when empty, and bump up to 50-52 when towing....and the TPMS was always happy.

The Rod is The Man. Thanks for everyones input. Looks like I'll make a trip to the dealer to have this adjusted...will probably have them turn off my AFM as well.....

I tow/carry the same payloads as you, and have switched to P-rated 4plys for sometime now. Unless you are really traveling on real rocky terrains, you are well in the range

that a P-rated tire can handle, in addition to the bonus of a better ride. I'm a fan of Nitto's Terra Grappler, I use the P265/65/17 on my crew cab.
