after i had the shitty 40 dumped before the axle with tthe tip pointing the ground, couldnt deal with the drone again.

If you want loud get true duals,no cats, the super 10's, and 4 or 5 inch tips if you dont dump them, im sure it wont sound as good as it will loud though unless you like it that way.

Finally got some extra cash to play with, I'm gonna get the 10 with this tip...

set your mufflers like this will remove about 80% of your drown issues. the frequencies that causes the drown emanate mostly from the top/bottom of the muffler case. setting them like this will send the frequencies out the side, and not bouncing back and forth from the bed and the ground.

will the addition of a tip make a difference? I have never used one on my dumped mufflers. maybe I should look into it.

I can't find anything that is 2.75 for the inlet of the muffler. 3" I
can, but not 2.75. So, I'm lost what to do on that part, can you make it
work like that? 3in & out? Plus what offset should I get?
Center/center?

I used 3" with a center in and offset out IIRC.

Thanks, still used factory piping that connected to the inlet of the muffler, this is my only concern.

Just made my order with the Super 10 & the 5" tip!

ive tried several systems, gibson(total junk), then went with the magnaflow, great qaulity just not loud at all ! put a 40 series on it was just a little bit louder, finnally got so frustrated cut all that junk off put a super 10 3" in and 2 2.5 outs turned out just in front ot the passenger sid rear tire and re-used the magnaflow tips ! FINNALLY something that was loud dosent drone and sounds great !

had gibson on the truck for a year or so and it compleatly rotted away and it was the stainless steel one

did you contact Gibson about it? mine is also stainless and been on my truck for 9 years now, and still in great shape..may have gotten a bad one. i know the non SS systems were known not to hold up over time, but that was years ago..
