I had my wheels rebalanced today noticed one tire had no weights either side. I had already driven after it was picked up 20 miles on interstate didnt notice any thing unusual. Is it possible for a tire and wheel to balance without any weight? There pretty new only 7000 miles driven Firestone AT is the brand. I guess im so used to seeing weights it kinda suprised me. The rims are stock 17''.

Are you sure there was a weight on there to begin with? On my old truck I had the weights fly off when I got new BFG AT's.

Yep I can see where the old one was on the outside, it left some mark on the wheel. I guess i wont worry about it to much

It's very possible weights weren't needed to balance that wheel. I know a lot of Michelin's i balance and see getting balanced require very few weights or sometimes none at all. Firestone tires are also a great tire and it wouldn't surprise me if no weights were needed.

I work at a tire shop and have seen tires balance out without needing any weights. It doesn't happen often but it does occur. Sometimes only the inside or outside of the wheel needs weights. There is a way to mount the tire that will sometimes reduce the amount of weights needed to balance the tire. But if your ride feels good, then you good to go.

I used to balance and on some wheels I would balance them so I would only have to put weights on the inside. Mainly nicer wheels. But if your others have weights on the outside then on that one wheel the outside was fine
