I was told that if I buy a head unit off of Amazon, it voids manufacturer warranty. Any truth to this?

Warranty would likely differ from who seller is on amazon. What kind of HU? Is the seller authorized dealer? What does warranty info say on the amazon site? Do you have a link to the item?

It does not void say pioneer's warranty if you purchase from amazon. I would include a printout of the order with your product if it has to be sent in for warranty, also deal with the manufacturer directly
