Tire tread/size matching

Had to replace a single tire on the front of my 09 sierra (RWD), now I'm due for a tire rotation and need to replace the other as it is down to 3/32, and have heard different things about the effect of different levels of tread wear on my rear differential. The original tread is 13/32 and the one I was thinking of pairing with it on the rear is 11/32. Can anyone tell me definitively, if this will cause issues with my truck. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Your theory only applies if you have AWD.

 

You SHOULD replace your tires in pairs at the least.

i would of replaced the tires in pairs, or at least put the 2 matching tires in front and the 1 odd one in the back.
