Couple of speakers are busted

I just bought a 2003 Chevy 2500hd and there are a few speakers that are busted which I might try to replace soon. The guy I bought it from says he knows someone that would do all four speakers for $125 on site. Is that cheap? How big of a deal is it to replace the speakers? Where would you get speakers, Oreilly's, Autozone?

Also, the info buttons on the steering wheel do not work, the radio buttons do, just not the info buttons. I was told by a mechanic that it could be the springs. How big of a job would that be?

Whats cheap is you buying $125 worth of speakers and doing it yourself while getting really good quality speakers. Not too sure on the buttons though....

The button assemblies pull out with a knife or thin flat blade screwdriver. I don't remember how to pull them apart

Bestbuy if you want them to put them in. Or your local audio shop

What size are the speakers? Are the front and rear speakers different sizes?

On the steering wheel buttons, I can't figure out how to get them out. I was able to get the top piece out but not the whole button assembly.

What cab do you have. Front door is a 6.5" Ext cab back door is 4"x6", I believe crew cab rear is a 6.5".

I would get them at Best Buy. Get something decent but you dont have to go top of the line

I have the four door crew cab. I figured they would be high at Best Buy. I would be perfectly fine with factory speakers. The guy I bought the truck from says he knows somebody that will install all four speakers for $125.

If I do get upgraded speakers, would I just be able to replace two of them? I didn't know if the new ones would sound totally different than the original speakers.

The fronts I have sound good. They were $150. The backs you can go a little cheaper on

The Rockford Fosgates that I put in mine sound 100 times better than the factory speakers. No contest there. They were $85 shipped to my door from Sonic Electronix, plus adapters. Most places will install them for just a touch over the regular speaker price.

Is that $85 per speaker?

$85 for all four. They are not the top of the line models and they were on sale but they still sound a ton better than the factory speakers did.
