Fender flares ( cut out)

Any one running the bushwacher flares that you need to cut the fender? If so what sizes tires are you guys running?

Doing cut outs is tricky on a NNBS is not an easy task. I don't even think you can buy a kit for 1/2 tons. Either way ur pretty much limited to a 33" tire

I have seen some heavy fender mods but no cut outs. What size tire do you want to run?

Was just looking at options. I will likely run 33in trail grapplers when the time comes for new tires

Why not just go a 6" lift than?? And ya they would fit but rub for sure. My 35x12.5 R20's rub pretty good on full lock in a 2500hd with 6" lift. My rims are a good offset as well...

 

NNBS just can't fit tires it SUCKS, their is a cutout you can do with no flares. But it's ballsie, you gotta cut out ALOT of sheet, welding involved as well.. My 06 fit 33x13.5 on 18x10 rims with just a levelling kit. Tbars cranked half way.

 

Here's the mod I'm talkin about, it's very involved and $$$ to make big tires for with no rubbing on NNBS. Check it out.

Fender flares that would bacisly cut our square wheels wells to a more rounds shape came up while talking to a few guys at work. I plan on adding flares any how.that's kinda were it came from.

The Bushwacker Cut out flares add about 2" of extra room behind the tire, you have to cut about 2" of metal from the bottom of the fender up 18". You can't tell anythings been cut though when everything is put back together, minimal trimming on the plastic, the only way you can tell anything has been done to the fender is when you park it next to a stock silverado and you can see all the extra room in the fenderwell. My father has the Bushwacker Cut outs on his 2013 Crew Cab Short Bed Z71, at first i thought they were the "pocket flares" but upon closer inspection i noticed how much extra room there was behind the tire, since he still has stock tires on his. I also have a 2013 Silverado, mine is a Regular Cab Long Bed Z71 and I parked next to him one day to see how much extra room there was and there is about 2", he had them installed and painted by a Ford dealership for 200$ I remember him saying they charged him $200 and told him to come back in 1 hour and they ended up taking 5 hours and saying how they had to cut some stuff to make them fit, We test fitted 33X12.50R17's on 17" Ultra Mavericks with 0mm offset because those are the wheels and tires hes getting when the stock tires wear out and they dont rub at all, Next time I go to his house ill take a picture so you guys can see how much bigger the fender openings are vs mine (stock)
