Plastic fading on rear bumper.

Update: The fading is back and we think there must be something going on here. Our best guess is that they messed up the compound.

 

We will be taking it in soon to have it looked at by the dealer, and will keep everyone posted.

My 09's rear bumper started fading about a year ago, my brothers 05 still looks new, kind of frustrating. SVRT makes it look better than new though

I only just started using Adams products about 3 weeks ago. One of the first things I tried, without knowing you could, was VRT on my plastic bumper trim. My truck is a 2011 and had slight fading from a lot of UV exposure over the last 2 years.

 

I was extremely impressed after putting VRT on. I love this stuff. It isn't oily and does not attract dirt. It has been 2 weeks now since I have applied it, and it still looks the same as when I put it on.

I use Adams In & Out Spray.

It leaves a fresh clean look and doesn't leave a greasy finish.

I just spray it on and leave it.

You can wipe away any excess but I let mine just sit.

I also use it on the pads for the side steps.

I think nobody should use plastic fading on rear bumper....it’s not getting

better result. Just apply a good plastic exterior from fading. 303 products is
a better for use.

I have the same issue on my 15 Yukon. Did they ever fix the compound or was anything else found to work to fix the ugly fade?
