Need To Know Where To Find Parts They No Longer Make

I have a 1998 Gmc sierra 1500 with the extended cab and the 8 ft bed. it has the standard 5.7l fuel injected motor and i am looking for part #12561901 Part Description-harness PART WAS DISCONTINUED and i own a home remodeling buissness and this is my only truck. please help if you have any details please pm me and email me at [email protected] put GM PART in the subject box so i know you are for real. possible reward for whoever finds me the part. thanx please help

Need more info. I guess I could look the part # up but what harness are you speaking of. Possibly a wiring harness ? I could get that out of salvage yard nearby. Please give more information.

well id have to check myself. when it messed up we had been having problems with the spark plugs so i replaced those and it kept on having issues. i took it to a local shop to get them to look at it and im going off what they put down on the invoice. i dont think its a wiring harness because the fuel system is sealed and the fuelnot getting to the motor is causing it to missfire, the best way to describe the issue is i have a hole in my straw and no fluid is getting to the other end of the straw, except that fluid is gas and my motor is not getting enough of it

Bet there is a new assembly that replaces it. I don't see anything that shouldn't be replaceable

we took it to a shop and they said the part was no longer being made

they also did a vacum test of the evap system and they told me that this part is where it was leaking

I went to this site and was able to put one into the shopping cart. I didn't take it any farther than that. So I don't know if it is in stock or not.

You said local shop - was this a GM dealer? Visit your local GM dealer and see if they can order the part or the replacement.

Thats what im doing tomorow and if they dont have it its either buy another truck and do something fun with this one, or go to some junk yard and look for the part but i dont want to do that because i would rather pay more and just get a new replacement part. Thanks for all of the help ill keep the forum up and let everybody know what happens from here.
