And for reference when your trans dies, get new pipes made. Having no factory Y-Pipe made it a lot easier since they can come off separately.

Exhaust is all back on. In a couple months when i go to change the filter, i am going to put a larger pan on.

When you go and put new fluid in disconnect the lines at the trans and get some cooler flush off amazon, shoot the whole can in the line, some will come back out the other end, and then run your air through them. It helps clean out the crud better.

 

I've always been told it's a good idea to replace the cooler lines anytime you replace a transmission. Considering I went through a trans every year I only did it the second time I swapped it (first time the line rusted through and blew all its fluid out, that's how I learned my lesson lol)

I only need this trans to last a year til i decide what i want to do with it. Either an 80 or beed it up and go with a Sonnax 2.85 1st carrier in a 60.

60 pulls better off the line but the 80's are tanks. I'd say stick with the 60 unless you plan on putting down some big power in the future

2.85 will put the 1st ratio close to an 80. Basically gives a 60 the close ratios of the Grand National's 200R4. With a light 1st, i may actually put in 4.10's.

I'm stuck on what gears to do in mine. I have 3.42's. Not sure if I want 3.73's or 4.10's.
