Grease the zerks

Well I'm about do for an oil change in my Blazer and my moms Van.  Got about 3500 miles since the last one, do I really need to grease the zerks again?  Don't want to if I really don't have to...its freezing outside!!

I find things seem to be OK if I put in a couple of pumps every other oil change, or every 6K to 7K miles.  I think the manual calls for a lube every time you change oil, however.

 

I always make sure any joints w/ rubber boots are firm, but not buldging, and have always tried to shy away from really putting the grease to the boots if it's very cold outside for fear of rupturing - maybe just an old wives tale, I don't know.  ???

I change my oil every 3000 and grease every 6000. I find that after just 3000 there is still a good bit of grease left!

Mine were good at the last change, so I'll do them this time.  I'd at least feel the boots.
