Put some miles on the new 2014

Ive always heard it was 100K. I seemed to get a tick better when my last truck reached 100K. Had 96 2500 with the 350 that got 15mpg concistantly, then started getting 17 once it got about 115K on the clock. Then I wrecked it and threw the aerodynamics off and it got 14.

 

 

Could be that too. Dad's has 188,000 on it, and it runs pretty good.

Yeah I think at 100,000 miles its more Like broke down than broken in.

 

 

You need to be careful saying stuff like that around here. Personally I have 71K and looking for another 70K, but others have well over 200K and still goin strong.

My 2010 Denali is showing it's age with 160,000 miles on it, so I've been waiting for the 2014's to come out, I took one on a road trip (about 200 miles) yesterday, 5.3, 3.42 rear end, I was hoping to see it flip into V4 more often, and if I'd been prepared to do 55 all the way I'm pretty sure it would have done, however at 65-70 the 5.3 doesn't have enough power to stay in V4, now I dont know a lot about truck I just drive them, but does anyone feel that the 6.2 will have sufficient power to stay in V4 at those speeds? or am I better to opt for the 5.3 with a 3.08 rear end?

I did get roughly 20 MPG on the trip which was mostly highway
