Black2011 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'm looking to install fog lights in my 2011 sierra. I know i'll need to run my switch wire for my relay into the fuse block under the hood, and according to other posts I've read on here I need the b5 terminal of the x1 connector under the fuse block. Does anyone know what the part number is for the pin that goes into the fuse block? and if there is a seal for the wire a p/n for that would be helpful also. While we're at it, can someone confirm that terminal location for the fog lights? I imagine its factory wired just not hooked to anything in applications without fogs. (like the DIC, etc) I think it operates similar to the marker lights anyhow. Thanks
MikeNH Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'm pretty sure you can buy a kit that includes everything you need for what it's worth.
latreille89 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Go look at the how to section and my write up. I put these on my 2012 Sierra. Get the kit, it has everything you need. The terminal part can be a bit confusing, just pay attention the what I wrote and the colours along with the instructions.
LaserBlueZ71 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Not to sound like a smart arse, but this is one big reason I try to buy vehicles already equipped with what I want. Every vehicle I ever had where I swore I would add what I wanted later, 99% of the time it never happened. Either the money wasn't there, or the motivation was gone.

Every vehicle I ever had where I swore I would add what I wanted later, 99% of the time it never happened. Either the money wasn't there, or the motivation was gone. Thanks for your input, however by looking at the model, engine and equipment my truck came with it should be apparent that financially I could not afford to demand all the options I want. Now when I purchased the next truck up pricewise was 5000$ more than this truck, and it was a Nevada edition crew cab. (the SLE is a much nicer interior) I want to add the specific options I wanted, for a reasonable cost and based on my interest in the information required to do the job, it would be apparent that I am both motivated and financially suited to perform the work. Thanks for your input! I have been doing some things to my truck to improve it, I just haven't had time to report about it on gm-trucks! hopefully soon!
