I went with the 5100's, they made the truck feel planted. I have 10 ply tires and they still don't feel rough to me.

You can either buy Bilsteins or regret that you didn't. Nothing else comes close. The ride isn't really stiffer but firmer. You'll feel like you're solidly in control of your truck and it will feel planted to the road.

The Monroe Reflex monotube stocks (911505 and 911506) feel similar to stock on my '04 Z71 Tahoe. A set of Bilstein 24-186643 and 24-185783 are an extra $160 at Amazon. Probably worth it.
