I have a bad front wheel bearing or hub on my 06 silverodo CC 4x4

Can I replace the just bearing or will I have to replace the hub also? What is this going to cost?

Thanks.

It's all one piece. Remove rim, have someone hold the brakes while you undo the CV shaft nut. Then undo the 2 bolts holding on the brake caliper and put it on top of the UCA, then pull off the brake rotor. Undo the 3 bolts holding on the hub assembly. You might have to tap the CV shaft gently to get it free.

I think I paid $120 each for my hub assemblies. If your brakes are getting worn out, you may as well do them at the same time you change the hub. I did brakes and bearings on each side just to have it all done.

Dealership? Well, you'd better add at least $500 to that ....

O'reilly's had all of my parts in stock....and they were WAY cheaper than the dealer. Why are you going to the dealer for parts?

Try local mechanic shops also. I know they have done plenty of them before, common problem and easy fix. Might be cheaper than the dealer. Besides, you have a great looking truck there, hate to see it go!
