1/2 ton crew cab with 6.5' bed

They are finally offering a 1500 series crew cab with the 6.5' bed. Looks good, except for the astronomical sticker price. I just looked at 2014 Silverado crew cab, 6.5' bed, 4X4, LT package with a few options, with $ 41k sticker.

They're nice, I test drove one but it was a little too long for my liking so I went for the shorter bed. You can get at least 3k off the sticker to get to invoice price if you haggle. I get GM Supplier pricing and I still got a little lower than that. Just be prepared to walk away, they'll call you back.

The 6' 5" was tempting but it would have been about 12" longer wheelbase than my old extended cab truck. I ended up ordering the short bed. Was a good idea on GM's part, a lot of people will go for the longer bed. I'm getting employee pricing so that helps. Brother is retired from GM.

Agreed, I know a lot of people were asking for it without having to go to a 2500. I came from two regular cab short bed trucks in a row, so it felt like a damn school bus to me.
