2014 Rear View Mirror

Can one of you owners on a 2014 do me a huge favor please..

Check the back side of your rear view mirror and see if the plug/wires are visible where the plug actually plugs into the mirror. Or is all contained and hidden under hard plastic with no exposed wires or plugs ??

 

I want to order a to hard wire plug kit for my radar detector before my new truck arrives. Just want to know if I can use the one that taps into the rear view mirror wires

What kind of radar detector do you have that you can hard wire it?

you can hard wire just about any radar. It just takes a wire kit to plug direct in the fuse box ( no visible wires)

Or you can tap into the rear view mirror wires with other kits.

 

I use the Escort redline.

My manual dimming mirror only has 9.3 volts available. The Mirror Tap will not work. I had to hard wire my V1.
